Your First Visit

Your first visit includes a thorough consultation, a physical and movement examination, and treatment, all in the same appointment. Plan for about 45 to 60 minutes. Dr. Sapala will take the time to understand your history, goals, and what's been keeping you from performing at your best before developing your plan of care.

No referral is needed. Chiropractors are primary care providers, which means you can book directly without seeing another doctor first. Simply schedule online or give us a call.

Comfortable athletic clothing is ideal. You'll likely be asked to perform some movement assessments, and Dr. Sapala may need access to your spine, hips, or extremities depending on your complaint. Think workout clothes, gym shorts, leggings, or a t-shirt all work well.

Insurance & Payment

We operate as an out-of-network provider, meaning we do not bill insurance directly. However, we can provide a detailed superbill (itemized receipt) after each visit that you can submit to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement. If you have a PPO plan, we recommend calling your insurer before your first visit to ask about your out-of-network chiropractic benefits.

We accept cash, credit and debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service. We do not offer payment plans at this time.

Visit costs vary depending on the services included in your treatment. For specific pricing, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to answer your questions.

Scheduling

You can book online anytime through our scheduling system at JaneApp. You can also call us at (864) 202-4938 during office hours and we'll get you set up.

Our current hours are:

  • Monday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Thursday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer that time to another patient who may need it. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.

Treatment

The number of visits depends on the nature and duration of your condition. Acute injuries typically respond in 4 to 6 visits. Chronic or more complex issues may require a longer course of care. After your first visit, Dr. Sapala will give you a clear recommendation so you know exactly what to expect, no vague open-ended treatment plans.

Chiropractic adjustments are generally painless and often provide immediate relief. Some patients experience mild, temporary soreness in the treated area for 24 to 48 hours after their first visit, similar to how muscles feel after a new workout. Soft tissue therapies like ART and muscle scraping can be mildly uncomfortable in tight or injured areas, but should never be unbearable. We'll always work within your comfort level.

In most cases, yes, and we actively encourage staying active. Dr. Sapala will let you know if there are any specific activities to avoid based on your condition and what was treated that day. If he recommends holding off on a particular movement or intensity, he'll explain why and give you a clear timeline for returning to full activity.
